PJ SteinerinCo-FounderPJ Steiner holds degrees in computer science from MIT and a PhD in synthetic biology from Cambridge, with postdoctoral research at UCSD. He previously worked as a scientist at Bolt Threads on yeast protein engineering and conducted protein engineering research at the University of Colorado Boulder on a DARPA-funded project. He co-founded Ohmic Biosciences to develop disease-resistant plants.

Matthew BedewitzinCo-FounderMatthew Bedewitz holds a BS in Horticulture Science and a PhD in Plant Breeding, Genetics, and Biotechnology from Michigan State University, where he characterized enzymes involved in alkaloid production. He brings expertise in protein engineering, genetics, and analytical chemistry, and previously collaborated on a DARPA protein engineering project before cofounding Ohmic Biosciences to focus on crop disease resistance.
