Julie Kim is president, CEO and representative director of Takeda, elected by shareholders and appointed by the Board of Directors in June 2026. She joined Takeda in 2019 via the Shire acquisition and held executive roles including president of the Plasma-Derived Therapies Business Unit and president of the U.S. Business Unit before becoming CEO-elect in 2025. Prior to Takeda, she held roles at Baxter, Baxalta and Shire across global, regional and country-level positions, and holds an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School and a bachelor's in economics from Dartmouth College.
