David Schnell

David Schnell is a Managing Director who co-founded Prospect Ventures in 1997, a firm focused on biomedical companies. He was previously a Partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, where he invested in early-stage biotechnology companies, and co-founded and served as CEO of Healtheon Corporation, which later merged with WebMD. Earlier he spent seven years at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals (now Novartis) in executive roles; he holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and an MA and BS from Stanford.
