Alex Wagner served as the 12th Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Manpower and Reserve Affairs, where he oversaw human capital strategy for nearly 700,000 personnel and led initiatives including recruiting strategies, military childcare improvements, and the establishment of an intergovernmental affairs function. Previously, he held positions including Chief of Staff to the Secretary of the Army, where he helped establish the Army Rapid Capabilities Office and Army Digital Service, and worked on Department of Defense policy regarding autonomous weapons systems and landmine policy. Currently a Distinguished Fellow at the Atlantic Council's Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security and lecturer in national security policy at Syracuse University's Maxwell School, he advises organizations on workforce transformation, civil-military engagement, and federal-state relations.
