Investment thesis
Van Wickle Ventures is a student-run, evergreen fund that backs startups founded by Brown University students, alumni, and professors, writing checks of $25k-$50k drawn from Brown's endowment. Students source and diligence companies throughout the school year, prepare memos, and present them to an investment committee of alumni venture investors. The firm believes Brown's holistic education cultivates divergent, empathetic founders capable of reimagining industries, pointing to Brown-affiliated companies such as Figma, MongoDB, Warby Parker, Casper, and Workday.
