Investment thesis
Transition VC positions itself as India's first energy-transition focused venture fund, investing in engineering-led companies building technologies to power, move, build, and secure India's next energy era. It targets areas including energy storage, mobility, industrial decarbonisation, and alternate fuels. The fund argues climate-aligned companies can win on both impact and financial returns. It deliberately constructs its portfolio so each company occupies a distinct technical wedge of the energy stack, generating synergies rather than overlap. Founders benefit from shared supplier knowledge, faster engineering feedback loops, and cleaner enterprise access, creating a network effect intended to accelerate scale, de-risk execution, and strengthen returns.
