Investment thesis
The fund is built on the premise that AI is a foundational substrate for future economic growth, scientific discovery and national resilience, and that nations controlling their own compute, talent and frontier capability will shape geopolitics and prosperity. Backed by up to £500 million of UK Government funding, it supports high-potential AI startups and scaleups to become national champions and to strengthen the UK's sovereign frontier AI capability. Beyond capital, the fund emphasizes hands-on support, opening access to government procurement, policy engagement and strategic partnerships that startups could not reach alone.
