Nithio was founded to accelerate a just energy transition by increasing climate finance in underserved markets, particularly Sub-Saharan Africa, where climate resilience is lowest and investment scarce. It emphasizes universal clean energy access as a key driver of resilience, economic mobility, financial inclusion, and improved health and education outcomes. Powered by its Risk Analytics Engine — which combines customer repayment data, geospatial data, and AI to standardize credit risk assessment — Nithio deploys risk-informed debt to distributed energy companies through FAIR, a blended-finance vehicle. It also offers climate solutions services enabling grantmakers, investors, banks, and MFIs to allocate capital, assess risk, monitor performance, and track impact.
