Investment thesis
Minds Capital pursues a gap-equity strategy, backing independent sponsors (entrepreneurial private equity) in their acquisitions of lower middle market businesses. Leveraging high-volume deal flow driven by its media platform and network within the independent sponsor community, the firm aims to invest in roughly a dozen acquisitions per year across industries such as healthcare, business services, software, and manufacturing. For accredited investors joining as limited partners, the firm offers exposure to a diversified portfolio of acquisitions in a fast-growing segment of private equity where returns are said to exceed those of PE overall. Fund I committed to 17 deals, and Fund II expands check sizes while keeping the same strategy.
