Hayfin

Tim Flynn is Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Hayfin and sits on the firm's Executive Committee. He previously was a Partner at Goldman Sachs, where he co-headed the European Leveraged Finance and Acquisition Finance businesses and served on the firm-wide Capital Committee, and earlier worked as a corporate finance lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell. He holds a Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School and a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.

Alban Senlis joined Hayfin in 2015 and is a Managing Director in the Private Credit Team, where he handles origination and investment opportunities in France and Benelux. He previously worked at Fair Oaks Capital on CLO equity investments and was a credit analyst at Ember Capital, a mezzanine investment fund. He holds a Master in Corporate Finance from ESSCA.

Albert Martienssen is a Managing Director in Hayfin's European High-Yield & Syndicated Loans team, which he joined in 2017. He previously spent three years at Goldman Sachs in London as an associate in the TMT and Industrials investment banking advisory group, and worked as a management consultant at the Boston Consulting Group in Germany. He holds a BSc in Quantitative Finance from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Andreas Esau joined Hayfin in 2025 as a Managing Director on the Private Equity Solutions Team. He previously worked at Morgan Stanley Investment Management as an alternatives specialist and as a portfolio specialist for Morgan Stanley Private Markets Solutions, and earlier held research roles at S&L Investment Banking Services, the Max Planck Institute, and the CNRS. He holds a B.Sc. in Biotechnology from Imperial College London and is a CFA charterholder.

Andreas Povlsen joined Hayfin in 2019 and serves as a Managing Director and Head of the Maritime Team. He previously founded Breakwater Capital and Celsius Shipping in 2011, acting as CEO, and earlier held roles as President of Delphin Shipping, Managing Director at BTMU Capital Corporation, and General Manager at A.P. Moller Maersk. He holds an HD1 in Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School and studied Psychology at Copenhagen University.

Stephen Madsen is a Managing Director at Blue Wolf Capital, where he leads business development and origination. He previously served as Director of Business Development & Capital Markets at Monomoy Capital, and before that was Manager of Global Business Development & Origination at Intralinks Dealnexus. He began his career in investment research at Gerson Lehrman Group and Coleman Research Group, and holds a degree in History and Italian from Columbia.

Ali Sangari is a Director in Hayfin's Private Equity Solutions Team, having joined the firm in 2018. He previously worked as an Associate on the European Investment team at Pantheon Ventures, where he handled private equity secondary and direct co-investment transactions, and earlier worked in the Nordic M&A team at Nomura International in London. He holds a BSc in Technology – Real Estate and Finance from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Sweden.

Alex Pickett joined Hayfin in 2022 as a Senior Deal Execution Manager on the Legal Execution Team. Before Hayfin, Alex worked as a senior lawyer at Macfarlanes LLP and completed two secondments at the firm before joining permanently, bringing over twelve years of experience structuring finance and investment transactions. Alex holds an LLB (Hons) Law degree from the University of Nottingham.

Andrew McCullagh joined Hayfin in 2010 and serves as Chief Risk Officer and Chairperson of the firm's Portfolio Risk Committee and Risk and Compliance Committee, having previously worked as a Portfolio Manager for Private Credit. Before Hayfin, he spent nine years at Merrill Lynch as Head of the European Leveraged Finance business and was a member of the European Investment Banking Operating Committee, following earlier leveraged finance roles at Bankers Trust and Deutsche Morgan Grenfell. He holds an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University.

Bianca Roldán is a Principal at A.GAIN, where she handles portfolio management for VC4, the firm's venture capital fund of funds. Her work covers venture capital managers and selective secondaries across North America, Europe, and Latin America.
