Investment thesis
GCC backs growth-stage companies that use technology, digital solutions and new business models to drive decarbonization, targeting the three most carbon-intensive sectors: energy, buildings and transport. The firm also sees strong demand for digital tools in finance and data covering risk assessment, carbon accounting and ESG reporting as part of the net-zero transition. GCC integrates ESG factors into its selection process, treating sustainability as a tool for value creation that can yield more robust returns and mitigate risk. Its founding partners have managed four successive clean-energy funds since 2002, and the firm leverages commercial, finance and renewables networks to help portfolio companies scale. GCC is a UNPRI signatory.
