Industry pioneer who co-founded CPE Capital and helped establish institutionally funded private equity in Australasia.

Steve Woosnam is a Managing Director at CPE Capital. He previously spent 15 years as a Partner at Deloitte in Transaction Services, focusing on Private Equity. A qualified Chartered Accountant, he completed his qualification in London before relocating to Australia with Deloitte.

Andrea Ottaviano is CEO and serves as managing director of Clessidra Private Equity SGR S.p.A., having joined Clessidra in December 2019. He previously spent around two decades in private equity as Managing Partner at L Catterton Europe and CEO of Sofipa Private Equity. He began his career in investment banking at institutions including Merrill Lynch, Mediobanca, Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and Société Générale.

Danielle Woods is Chief Operating Officer at CPE Capital, a private capital manager operating in Australasia. Her experience spans marketing, corporate affairs, human resources, and IT, working both individually and through team leadership.

Malcolm Lucas is Chief Financial Officer at CPE Capital, with experience across industries including private equity, media and entertainment, fashion retail, funds management, leisure resorts and pastoral. His work has covered finance, tax, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and reporting, and he has served on the boards of several large operating businesses that were subsequently divested. His areas of focus include taxation, ASX experience, due diligence, commercial negotiations, budgeting and forecasting, and stakeholder management.

Nick Hawthorne is Senior Legal Counsel on the investment team at CPE Capital, where he advises the firm and its investee companies on transactions and other legal matters. He previously worked as a Senior Associate in the private equity team at King & Wood Mallesons, handling private equity and private M&A transactions for sponsors, companies, and management shareholders. He is dual qualified in England and Wales and in New South Wales, Australia.

Rory MacDonald is a chartered accountant with over 10 years of post-qualification experience in the financial services industry, spanning offshore and onshore settings, and currently serves as Fund Accounting Manager at CPE Capital. In a management capacity, he has overseen teams of up to 12 people handling up to 80 net asset value calculations across weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles, along with annual financial statements. His experience also includes developing internal control systems and managing data migration projects between accounting systems.

Francesco Colli is a Managing Director and board member at Clessidra Private Equity, which he joined in 2008. He previously spent three years in the Corporate Finance division at Mediobanca and, before that, a year on the Italian M&A team at Lazard in Milan.

Mark van Beuningen is Group Strategy & Investment Executive at CIEL Group and previously served as CEO of Cim Financial Services Ltd., a Mauritius-based non-banking financial institution listed on the Stock Exchange of Mauritius that operates across finance and investment clusters. His work has included developing the group's Africa strategy and overseeing its market entry in Kenya, where Cim operates the consumer finance business Aspira. Earlier in his career he worked in management consulting at the Boston Consulting Group in Johannesburg and Sydney, in structured finance at Macquarie Bank, and in financial services assurance at KPMG in Cape Town.

Yogesh Kissoondary is a Fund Accounting Manager at CPE Capital. A chartered accountant with over 10 years of post-qualified experience in the financial services industry across offshore and onshore settings, he has managed teams of up to 12 people responsible for net asset value calculations and annual financial statements. His work has included developing internal control systems and overseeing data migration between accounting systems.
