Convergence Partners

Brandon Doyle co-founded Convergence Partners in 2006 and has led it since inception. He has over 25 years of investment banking and private equity experience, including senior roles at Nedbank, FBC Fidelity, and Anglo American, and sits on the boards of several portfolio companies and the FTTH Council Africa.

Idan Segal is a founding partner responsible for deal sourcing, implementation, portfolio management, and capital raising. He sits on the Investment Committees of Funds I and II and on investee company boards. He previously spent four years at Nedbank Capital's corporate finance team.

Stefan Ferreira is a founding partner with executive responsibility for deal sourcing, implementation, and post-investment management. He sits on the Investment Committees of Funds I and II and oversees financial management and middle office functions. He previously spent five years at Nedbank Capital and worked at Brait and PwC.

Adebayo (Bayo) Kazeem heads Convergence Partners' West Africa operations. He previously spent six years as a Principal at the Carlyle Sub-Saharan Africa Fund and six years as a Director at Renaissance Capital, and earlier worked at Lehman Brothers and Micromuse. He holds an MBA from INSEAD and engineering degrees from Imperial College London and the University of Lagos.

Uchenna develops and executes investments for Convergence Partners in West Africa and performs financial analysis, valuation, and performance monitoring. She previously spent three years at a private equity firm focused on capital raising and investment management across East and West Africa.

Yolande focuses on capital raising and investor relations for the funds and portfolios under management, and serves as Training Officer of the Convergence Partners CA Training Programme. She previously handled group financial management and investment performance monitoring and sits on certain investee company boards.

Tumi is an Analyst on the Deal Team supporting transaction execution and post-investment portfolio management, including financial analysis and valuation. She holds a B.Com from Wits University, is a Chartered Global Management Accountant, and previously worked at IBM and T-Systems.

Bontle supports portfolio management, reporting, and risk analysis, including valuations and performance tracking. She previously worked as an equity research analyst at Vunani Securities covering construction and materials.

Ethan is a CA Programme trainee who completed studies at the University of Pretoria. He has rotated through Finance and Portfolio Management, working on reporting, valuations, and ESG impact research, and passed CFA Level 1 in the top 10% of candidates.

Galetume is a Senior Associate with a finance and private equity background. She began her career at Nedbank and later joined Oppenheimer Partners, gaining exposure across Africa in FMCG, industrials, and TMT. At Convergence she works on deal execution, financial analysis, and post-investment management.

Hemant Imrit is a finance and risk manager at Convergence Partners Africa Ltd with over 15 years of experience in hedge fund and private equity accounting and fund structuring.

Jeremy oversees administrative functions of the private equity funds and related portfolio company activities. He was previously a Private Equity Supervisor at Kleinwort Benson.

Keleiah supports the ESG team across research, analysis, and reporting. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science from the University of Cape Town and a Master of Arts in Development Studies and Diplomacy from the University for Peace in Costa Rica.

Laurentius previously was Managing Director of the Amandla Renewable Energy fund and spent four years as CEO of Inala Technologies, a Convergence Partners Fund I portfolio company deploying telecom and energy solutions across 32 African countries.

Lindokuhle oversees Convergence Partners' financial management, human resources, and middle office activities. She completed her articles at Deloitte & Touche, where she was an Audit Manager, and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Lyle is the internal accountant at CPM, supporting the finance team's daily operations. He holds a BCom Accounting degree from the University of Nelson Mandela and has a background in financial accounting, tax, and reporting.

Mark is responsible for operational aspects of Convergence Partners with a focus on governance and risk across the firm and its investee companies. He completed his articles at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Johannesburg and is a qualified chartered accountant.

Mmabatho handles day-to-day accounting activities and supports financial reporting. She holds a national diploma from the University of Johannesburg and a BCompt from UNISA, and completed her articles at GL Palmer and Company.

Msizi is responsible for finance and administration activities including liquidity management, tax compliance, and financial reporting. He is a qualified chartered accountant who served his articles at Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo.

Nhlanhla joined Convergence in 2021 through the CA Programme and studied at the University of the Witwatersrand. He rotated through Finance and Portfolio Management and is now an Analyst on the Deal Team supporting transaction execution and post-investment management.

Vidhoushee is a Junior Associate of Administration and Compliance at Convergence Partners Africa Limited, holding a BSc in Banking and International Finance from the University of Technology, Mauritius. She has over five years of experience in secretarial, compliance, and fund administration, including roles at JurisTax and IQ EQ.

Vuyelwa is a CA Training programme trainee holding an undergraduate degree from Wits and a postgraduate diploma from UNISA. She works within the finance team supporting accounting operations and financial reporting, and will rotate into the portfolio and deal teams.

Yashna is Manager of Compliance and Administration at Convergence Partners Africa Limited, holding an LLB (Hons) from the University of London and a BSc Criminology from the University of Technology, Mauritius. She has over seven years of compliance and administration experience in private equity and corporate entities.
