CFNC supports a national network of 267 non-profit Community Futures offices that act as developmental lenders in rural and remote communities across Canada. Each office provides small business loans, financing, tools, training and events to help people start, expand, franchise or sell businesses where other supports are scarce. The network is funded by the Government of Canada's Regional Development Agencies and collaborates with the Business Development Bank of Canada, including a $100M initiative and the Business Elevation Loan. CFNC focuses on national representation, member services, and communication and collaboration among offices to strengthen local economies and create jobs in rural Canada.
