Jason Schmidly joined Carousel Capital in 1998 and, together with Mr. Grigg, is primarily responsible for managing the firm and overseeing its investment and portfolio company activities. Before Carousel, he worked in private equity and M&A at Gregory & Hoenemeyer, Inc. and earlier in the M&A department at Morgan Stanley & Co. He holds a BBA with a dual major in Finance and Organizational Behavior from Southern Methodist University.

Peter Clark joined Carousel Capital in 2003, having previously worked in mergers and acquisitions at Harris Williams & Co in Richmond. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a concentration in Applied Mathematics from Davidson College.

Brandon Moores rejoined Carousel Capital in 2021 after completing an MBA at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, having previously spent four years at the firm. Before his first stint at Carousel, he worked in mergers and acquisitions at Deloitte Corporate Finance. He holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Chris Wells joined Carousel Capital in 2019. He previously worked in private equity at Saw Mill Capital and in investment banking at Edgeview Partners. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and Accounting from Washington & Lee University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

Blake Wilcox joined Carousel Capital in 2026. He previously worked at the investment bank Harris Williams, supporting its Primary Fund Placement team on tax, accounting, and compliance matters, and spent five years before that at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the Asset and Wealth Management tax practice. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.S. in Accounting from East Carolina University and is a licensed CPA in North Carolina.

Elizabeth Chappell is an associate at Carousel Capital, which she joined in 2025. She previously worked at BlackArch Partners on mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

George Ehlers joined Carousel Capital in 2026. He previously worked at Revelstoke Capital Partners, focusing on middle-market healthcare services and IT investments, and at KSL Capital Partners, where he worked on buyout and structured capital investments in travel, leisure, and hospitality. He began his career at Citi, working on M&A, capital raises, and strategic advisory in healthcare, and holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Gray Smith joined Carousel Capital as an associate in 2023. He previously worked at Piper Sandler, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies in the diversified industrials and services sector. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jack Shannon joined Carousel Capital in 2026. He previously worked in private equity at Gemspring Capital and AEA Investors, and in investment banking at Fidus Partners. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Jack Mooney joined Carousel Capital in 2025 as an associate. He previously worked at BlackArch Partners on mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Michigan.

Will Hull joined Carousel Capital in 2025 as an associate. He previously worked at Piper Sandler on mergers and acquisitions for middle-market companies in the services and industrials sectors. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Auburn University.
