Aurus Capital

Raimundo Cerda is CEO and Managing Partner of Aurus Capital, which he joined in 2008 to establish its Venture Capital division. Through Aurus Technology, launched in 2010, he has overseen more than 14 investments across Latin America focused on consumer web, digital marketing, and cloud computing, and serves on the boards of several portfolio companies. He holds an MBA from UCLA and a B.S. in Business Administration from Universidad Católica de Chile.

Alex Seelenberger joined Aurus Capital in 2008 to lead its Venture Capital Life Science Division. He previously worked at Athelera LLC, an M&A advisory firm in New York, handling mergers and acquisitions across industries in Latin America and Europe, and was earlier a consultant at Boston Consulting Group focused on pharmaceuticals, financial services, and mining. He holds an MBA (Baker Scholar) from Harvard University and a B.S. in Business Administration from Universidad de Chile, and has taught courses at Universidad de Chile's business school.

Víctor Aguilera joined Aurus Capital in 2013, where he leads investments related to industrial technology and mining. He has worked as an angel investor across 11 startups and held executive and business development roles internationally, including four years in Austria. He co-founded and served as CEO of the South Pacific Research Institute for Advanced Technologies (SEPARI) and co-founded the International Institute for Entrepreneurial Innovation (3IE), and teaches as a professor at several Chilean universities.

César Muñoz joined Aurus in 2010 and has over 13 years of experience managing private and public funds. From 2006 to 2009 he served as real estate manager at Gerens Capital S.A, overseeing the financial, operational and administrative management of real estate developments, and previously worked as an investment analyst at Gerens SA evaluating projects for the Precursor Risk Capital I fund. He holds a Master in Tax Law from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and a Business Administration degree from Universidad de Concepción.

Paulina Salazar has over 8 years of experience working with investment fund administrators. In her current role she oversees regulatory compliance, internal policies, and risk mitigation for the administrator and its managed funds, and supports compliance matters for portfolio companies. She previously worked as an external auditor at EY and as an investment control analyst at Larraín Vial, and is a Public Accountant and Auditor from the Universidad Tecnológica Metropolitana with a diploma in compliance and good corporate practices from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

Skarlet Cruz joined Aurus Capital in 2018 as a Control Analyst, where she reviews and monitors the administrative, accounting, and tax status of the firm's portfolio companies. She previously worked in accounting at Deloitte Venezuela (2014–2017) and BDO Chile (2017–2018), preparing financial and tax statements for client companies. She holds a degree as an Independent Public Accountant from Santa Maria University in Venezuela.

Victor Figueroa joined Aurus Capital in 2018, where he handles the firm's accounting and tax compliance and manages short-term investment of cash surpluses. He has over 15 years of experience in administration, finance, and management control across various industries, having previously served as a Senior Management Control Analyst at Viña San Pedro Tarapacá and Mall Plaza. He holds a Commercial Engineering degree with a major in Economics from Universidad de Concepción, Chile.
