Investment thesis
AIJ Global deploys its own family capital, operating free of external limited partners. Its dual strategy centers on Search Funds—backing entrepreneurs (often MBAs or experienced managers) who identify, acquire, and run a single established SME—with a focus on Asia-Pacific, Latin America, and Africa, and selective activity in North America and Europe. Since 2017 it has invested in over 120 Search Funds and holds a portfolio of 25+ companies across 14 countries. It also pursues equity-gap investments, lower-middle-market and microcap private equity (EBITDA margin over 10%, majority stakes, any sector), commercial real estate, late-stage ventures, growth capital, and fund-of-funds opportunities, emphasizing value creation and partnership with entrepreneurs.
