AFRIGREEN is a senior debt impact fund financing renewable energy infrastructure—primarily solar photovoltaic projects up to 15 MW—for commercial, industrial and utility-scale customers across Central and West Africa. Through direct project lending and asset-based debt facilities, it aims to help African SMEs and SMIs cut energy costs and diesel dependency while accelerating the continent's green energy transition. Classified as SFDR Article 9, the fund applies IFC and EIB environmental and social standards and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals 7, 9, 12 and 13. It is backed by institutional investors including the EIB, IFC, BIO Invest, PROPARCO, Société Générale, BNP Paribas and FMO.
