Investment thesis

AFRIGREEN provides long-term debt solutions to renewable energy projects in Africa — including solar, electricity storage, wind, biomass and hybrid projects — with a particular focus on distributed solar photovoltaic infrastructure across Central and West Africa (Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Ghana and Cameroon). The fund supports African SMEs and SMIs in reducing their energy costs and diesel dependency while accelerating the continent's green energy transition. Structured as a French regulated AIF classified as SFDR Article 9, it finances solar projects of up to 15 MW for commercial, industrial or utility-scale use through direct project lending and asset-based debt facilities, aligning with UN Sustainable Development Goals 7, 9, 12 and 13.
