- AccioJob was founded in 2018 by four IIT Delhi alumni and batchmates since 2013 — Vishu Bansal, Harsh Sharma, Priyanshu Agarwal, and Yashwardhan Burad. Focused on graduate employability in India, they spent the first years iterating from software sales to colleges to B2B training before settling on B2C online and offline upskilling programs. Before founding the company, they were active in higher education, speaking at events and advising students on career decisions.
- What's the history of your company from getting started until the present day? What were the big inflection points?
- Founded in 2018 by four IIT Delhi alumni, the company went through Y Combinator's W19 batch. In 2024 it shifted from online-only courses to offline centres, opening its first skill centre in Noida in March 2024 and reaching profitability there within eight months, then expanding to Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai between November 2024 and October 2025. It now runs three programmes — Data Analytics with Gen AI, AI Engineering with Full Stack, and Data Science and AI — and has placed over 2,000 students across more than 500 hiring partners.
- What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?
- India graduates over a million engineers a year, and the founders argue most lack structured practice, feedback, and access to hiring companies rather than ability. Citing single-digit completion rates for self-paced online courses, they built in-person skill centres where students attend daily, learn in cohorts, and receive mentor feedback, and run the hiring side directly with 50+ hiring drives a month across 500+ partner companies.
