About

Wim Van Criekinge holds a PhD and is a tenured professor of computational genomics and bioinformatics at Ghent University, where he founded and leads the BIOBIX lab and the NXTGNT core sequencing facility. Together with Jan, he co-founded Novalis Biotech Incubation, and he has co-founded biotech startups including Devgen and Genohm. He currently serves as CSO of MDxHealth, a public biotech company focused on uro-oncology, and holds several biotech startup board seats. He earned a Master's in Chemical Engineering and a PhD in Molecular Biology (1998) from the University of Ghent.
