Stefanos Zafeiriou is a Professor in Machine Learning and Computer Vision in the Department of Computing at Imperial College London and an EPSRC Early Career Research Fellow, with prior appointments including a Distinguished Research Fellowship at the University of Oulu (2016-2020). His research covers statistical machine learning methods applied to computer vision problems such as 2-D/3-D face analysis, deformable object fitting and tracking, and human behaviour analysis, and he has authored more than 70 journal papers along with numerous conference publications. He co-founded several startups, including Facesoft and Ariel AI, both of which exited in 2020, and received Imperial College London's President's Medals for Excellence in Research Supervision (2016) and Entrepreneurship (2022).
