Sonja Jost is a German-Italian engineer and co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of DUDE CHEM, a virtual green deeptech CDMO for chemicals that has raised funding from European venture capital firms and includes chemist John Warner on its development team. In 2013 she founded DexLeChem, a spin-off from the UniCat cluster of excellence at TU Berlin, which entered the chemical-pharmaceutical market and became profitable. Since 2017 she has been a re-elected member of the General Assembly of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Berlin, where she serves as Vice President, and she has held roles on the Economic Advisory Board of the German Green Party parliamentary group (2023–2024), the editorial board of Green Chemistry Letters and Reviews (since 2018), and the jury of the European Innovation Council Accelerator (2018–2024).
