Scott Sobel is Co-founder and Managing Partner of Valor Capital Group, a cross-border venture fund connecting technology markets in the U.S., Brazil, and Latin America. He was part of the founding team at internet telephony pioneer Net2Phone, helping grow it from early PC-to-telephone-network software to millions of users, more than $200M in revenue, a 1999 IPO, and a $1.4 billion sale to AT&T in 2000. He later held executive roles at Symbol Technologies in its Mobile Computing and Wireless divisions and at NCR Corporation in Singapore, where he handled corporate development and later ran the P&L for the financial line of business in emerging markets. He has spent much of the past decade living and working in emerging markets including China, India, and Brazil.
