Payam Zamani founded One Planet Group in 2015. Born in Tehran, Iran, he fled at age sixteen due to religious persecution and settled in the San Francisco Bay Area, graduating from UC Davis in 1994. A serial entrepreneur and impact-focused investor, Zamani has been recognized as a 'Best CEO for Diversity' and recipient of multiple awards including the Tahirih Justice Center's 'Hope Award' and the UC Davis Award of Distinction.
