Nick Schupbach leads Ceres Partners' water resource investments through Appia Farms, handling deal sourcing, financial modeling, research, and due diligence. Before joining Ceres in November 2024, he co-founded Appia Capital Partners in 2023 and previously spent 17 years as Head of Natural Resources at Barings Private Equity/Real Assets and its predecessor Wood Creek Capital Management, covering water, farmland, timber, and carbon. Earlier he worked as a foreign exchange analyst and trader at the hedge fund Rayner & Stonington. He holds a B.S. in Finance and an M.S. in Global Financial Analysis from Bentley University and is a CFA charter holder.
