Mark McCormick attended Baylor University from 2002 to 2005 before being selected in the first round of the MLB draft by the St. Louis Cardinals, playing professional baseball until 2009. He then worked as a sales representative for Stryker Orthopedics and later started his own company marketing durable medical equipment and pharmaceuticals, and in 2016 co-founded three Texas pharmacies. In mid-2019 he co-founded ScriptCo Pharmacy, where he serves as Operations Manager, and in early 2021 he was named to the Forbes Next 1000 list.
