Manolis Kellis is a Professor of Computer Science at MIT, a member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, and a member of MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory, where he directs the Computational Biology Group; he is also the founder of Mantis AI. His research covers disease genetics, epigenomics, gene circuitry, non-coding RNAs, comparative genomics, and phylogenetics, and he has contributed to large-scale genomics projects including Roadmap Epigenomics, ENCODE, and GTEx. Kellis received his Ph.D. from MIT, along with the Sprowls award, and his honors include the US Presidential Early Career Award in Science and Engineering, the NSF CAREER award, and the Alfred P. Sloan Fellowship.
