He serves as Vice Chairman of the Board at the Health Industry Employers' Association of Turkey and lectures on Engineering Management at Hacettepe University, and previously was founding chairman of TUBITAK Biomedical Technologies Research Center from 2004 to 2008. He holds a BSc in Chemical Engineering from Ankara University and an MSc in Bioengineering from Hacettepe University.
