Kazufumi Nakamura

Kazufumi Nakamura is an Investment Director at MGI who focuses on biotech and life sciences, with particular interest in startups where genetics and genomics inform disease biology. He has over 15 years of healthcare and life sciences experience across business development, investment, entrepreneurship, and R&D, and previously co-founded a biotech accelerating innovation from Japanese academic institutions. Earlier he worked in business development and licensing at Santen Pharmaceuticals and held clinical development roles at Janssen Pharmaceuticals; he holds a B.S. in pharmaceutical science from Tokyo University of Science and is a licensed pharmacist in Japan.
