About
Justin Thaler is a Research Partner at a16z and an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Georgetown University, focusing on verifiable computing, complexity theory, and algorithms for large data sets. In 2011 he built the first implementation of a general-purpose interactive proof system, and he wrote the survey "Proofs, Arguments, and Zero-Knowledge" and co-created the open-source streaming algorithms library Apache DataSketches. He previously worked as a Research Scientist at Yahoo Labs and earned his PhD in Computer Science from Harvard University.
