Guillaume Pousaz founded Checkout.com in 2012 and has been its CEO throughout, bootstrapping the payments processor for six years before raising outside money and then taking it to a $40bn valuation in a $1bn Series D in January 2022. Swiss-born, he studied at HEC Lausanne and worked in FX payments in California before buying the Mauritius payments business that became Checkout.
