Dr. Joanna Groden serves as Vice Chancellor for Research at the University of Illinois Chicago, overseeing research operations across multiple institutes and coordinating a collaborative partnership with Argonne National Laboratory. A human geneticist and cancer biologist, she conducted NIH-funded research for over 30 years focused on identifying genetic causes of inherited cancers, and previously held an investigatorship with the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
