Investment thesis
S Ventures promotes open innovation from Hokkaido to the world under the concept of 'connecting regions and moving Japan toward the future.' Established as a 100% subsidiary of Satudora Holdings, which addresses regional challenges amid rapid aging and population decline, it seeks partners to build new business models. It targets two areas: companies wanting to grow by using the group's store network, point-card infrastructure, and Hokkaido as a testing ground; and companies holding technologies or ideas closely tied to Satudora's vision of shifting from a drugstore business to a regionally connected business. Activities include investing in startups, investing in venture capital funds, and supporting collaboration between startups and the group.
