Investment thesis
PledgeMe is a New Zealand crowdfunding platform that helps 'Kiwis' turn plans into reality by raising money from friends, family, customers and fans. As the country's first crowdfunding platform since 2012, it offers three campaign types: project (reward/donation-based), equity (companies raising investment from their crowd), and lending (companies borrowing from their crowd). It previously ran Tā Koha, a collaboration with Māori Women Development Inc. to help Māori entrepreneurs raise capital through their communities. PledgeMe also runs the CrowdfundingU program to prepare companies for equity crowdfunding campaigns. It is sector-agnostic, supporting a broad range of projects, businesses and community initiatives across Aotearoa.
