Investment thesis
NPIF II - Maven Equity Finance is a regional equity fund managed by Maven under the British Business Bank's Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II, part of the wider Nations and Regions Investment Funds programme. It aims to close the funding gap between the North and South of England and increase the supply and diversity of early-stage finance for smaller businesses. The fund invests up to £5 million in ambitious, growth-focused companies located across the North East of England, including Darlington, Durham, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees, South Teesside, Northumberland, Sunderland and Tyneside. Funding supports needs such as capital expenditure, new machinery, product development, hiring, export finance and working capital.
