Investment thesis
NEAR Foundation exists to enable community-driven innovation and support the development of decentralized infrastructure so that ecosystem functions can operate self-sufficiently. Its stated goal is to minimize its own scope and footprint over time by devolving functions and resources to the NEAR ecosystem. It backs the NEAR Protocol, a Web3 platform designed to overcome barriers such as complex UX and high scaling costs, and has supported hundreds of decentralized applications built on the blockchain.
