Khazanah Nasional

Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir became Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional in July 2021. He previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer of Maybank and, earlier, as its Group Head of Global Banking, and held senior roles at Permodalan Nasional Berhad, Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad, Maybank Investment Bank, and BinaFikir Sdn Bhd. He holds an economics degree from the London School of Economics and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.

Datuk Hisham Hamdan joined Khazanah in 2011 from Sime Darby Berhad and has served as Head of Public Markets since 2018. He previously oversaw the firm's Auto, Agrifood and Iskandar Malaysia portfolios and worked as Executive Director of Research, with earlier experience of 12 years in capital markets covering equity research and investment banking. He holds degrees in Chemical Engineering and Industrial Management from Purdue University and has completed Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Programme.

Dato' Seri Anwar Ibrahim was appointed Chairman of Khazanah in January 2023. He serves as Prime Minister of Malaysia and Minister of Finance, and previously held the post of Deputy Prime Minister from 1993 to 1998. His prior ministerial roles include Minister of Education, Minister of Agriculture, and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

Datuk Azian Mohd Aziz was appointed as a Board Member of Khazanah in June 2019. An Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya practising in Kuala Lumpur, she began her legal career in 1987 as a Federal Counsel in the Attorney General's Chambers and held roles including Legal Advisor to the Ministry of Transport and Ministry of Defence, Director General of the Judicial and Legal Training Institute (ILKAP), and Parliamentary Draftsman. She holds an LL.B (Hons) from the University of Malaya.

Amir Hamzah Azizan was appointed to Khazanah's board in January 2024 and serves as Finance Minister II of Malaysia since December 2023. He previously led the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) as CEO from 2021, and earlier held senior leadership roles at MISC Berhad, PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, PETRONAS Lubricants International, and Tenaga Nasional Berhad, following a decade at the Shell Group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Syracuse University and has completed executive programmes at Stanford University and London Business School.

Dr Nungsari Ahmad Radhi is an economist appointed as a Board member of Khazanah Nasional, effective June 2026. He chairs the Khazanah Research Institute and serves on the Policy Advisory Committee to the Prime Minister and the National Economic Action Council. He has held senior leadership and board roles across Malaysian government-linked companies, statutory bodies, and financial institutions, and previously chaired Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad and the Malaysian Aviation Commission. He holds economics and mathematics degrees from Southern Illinois University and a PhD in Economics from Purdue University.

Faridah Bakar Ali joined Khazanah Nasional in May 2006, following earlier work in accountancy and finance at PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia and BP Malaysia. At Khazanah she worked on Islamic Finance transactions, including an exchangeable sukuk and the retail offering of Sukuk Ihsan. She holds a degree in Accounting & Finance from Lancaster University and is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Goh Ching Yin joined Khazanah's board in July 2018. He previously served as Executive Director of the Chairman's Office, Strategy & Development, and Market Oversight at the Securities Commission Malaysia, and held senior roles including CEO of Southern Investment Bank and Managing Director, Corporate Finance at BNP Paribas Group, with earlier experience at RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers, Renong Group, and Price Waterhouse Associates. He holds an MBA from Cranfield University in the United Kingdom.

Mohamed Nasri Sallehuddin joined Khazanah in September 2009. He previously worked as a partner at a Malaysian law firm, where he advised on corporate law, corporate restructuring, takeovers and mergers. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, and an MBA from the University of Strathclyde, and was admitted to Gray's Inn as a barrister-at-law and to the High Court of Malaya as an advocate and solicitor.

Nicholas Khaw joined Khazanah in April 2011, having begun his career as a macroeconomist at the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister's Department. He serves as a Trustee at Khazanah Research Institute and contributes a monthly column to The Edge Malaysia. He holds an MPA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School and a BA in Economics from Harvard College, and is a part-time PhD student in Political Economy Research at King's College London.

Shahira Ahmed Bazari rejoined Khazanah Nasional in July 2024, having served as founding Managing Director of Yayasan Hasanah from 2015 to 2024. She was previously at Khazanah from 2006 to 2015, most recently as Director in the Managing Director's Office overseeing Strategic Communications and Corporate Responsibility. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University in Washington, D.C.

Shahrizal Mohd Suffian joined Khazanah Nasional in July 2024 and has over 29 years of experience in consulting and corporate leadership roles, with a focus on human resources, organisational development, and mergers and acquisitions. He previously served as a Partner at Deloitte Southeast Asia and held senior positions at Korn Ferry, Hay Group Malaysia, PETRONAS, IBM, and several Malaysian banks. He earned bachelor's degrees in Marketing from the University of Texas and Finance from the University of Oklahoma.

Suhana Dewi Selamat joined Khazanah in November 2012 and was appointed Chief Risk Officer on 1 February 2017. She has over 25 years of experience in legal, regulatory, compliance, and risk management across local and multinational companies, and served for eight years as a Trustee at WWF Malaysia. She holds a law degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Wong Kang Hwee joined Khazanah's board in December 2023. He previously worked as an accountant in public practice, with experience in assurance and advisory services across industries including manufacturing, banking, stock broking, hotels, property development, investment holding, and civil engineering. Since retiring, he has advised and consulted in investment holding, financial services, and properties.

Wong Wai Seng joined Khazanah Nasional in August 2011 and works on corporate strategy, strategic asset allocation, strategic planning, and performance management aligned with the firm's mandate and long-term goals. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Management (Technology) with a Finance major from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management as a Fulbright scholar, and a Master of Science in Management from Stanford Graduate School of Business as a Sloan Fellow. He is a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant (FCMA).

Holds an MS and MBA and serves as a Managing Partner at Maxpro Ventures.
