Investment thesis
Founded in 2017 by Martins Benkitis, Edgars Laimite and Kriss Pujats after experiencing the inefficiency of cross-border money movement, Gravity Team focuses on modernising global liquidity and settlement beyond legacy financial rails. The firm's core view is that liquidity, rather than speculation, will define the future of global payments and digital markets. It operates a global liquidity and execution stack spanning venues, assets and regions, connecting 40+ exchanges and 400+ digital assets across spot, perpetuals, stablecoins and FX-token rails. It is transitioning from a proprietary trading desk into a full institutional platform combining EMS, OTC execution and a unified digital asset settlement network. It also makes strategic investments in crypto/stablecoin companies.
