Investment thesis
The program empowers Guyanese startups and early-stage businesses via a competitive Innovation Tank-style pitch event where entrepreneurs present ideas to a live judging panel for non-repayable grants of up to G$1 million each. It combines funding, mentorship, and visibility to strengthen Guyana's entrepreneurial ecosystem and support sustainable business growth. Eligible applicants must be registered businesses in Guyana, at least 21 years old, and operating for no more than five years, with pitch ideas that demonstrate innovation and do not harm the environment. The bank intends to establish this as an annual initiative with progressively increasing allocations.
