Investment thesis
CERI was created by the Bass Family to build a more sustainable and diverse economic ecosystem in Western Australia, reducing reliance on finite natural resources. Inspired by founder Charlie Bass's background in the resources industry, the organization encourages WA researchers to adopt an entrepreneurial mindset and fosters a startup culture in high-knowledge and high-value industries. Primarily funded by the Bass Family Foundation, CERI operates as a leading innovation hub offering programs, bootcamps, events and a dedicated CERI Fund to support the region's startups.
