Catalytic Africa aims to significantly increase capital flowing into local African startups by strengthening synergies between Entrepreneurial Support Organizations, Business Angel Networks, and sector players. It co-invests with accredited local angel networks, groups, syndicates, and angel funds into viable tech startups and tech-enabled SMEs, drawing on AfriLabs' network of over 500 hubs, timbuktoo's thematic hubs, and other accelerators to source deal flow. Local angels pool capital and conduct due diligence using their understanding of the local market, while Catalytic Africa co-invests based on investment committee recommendations, providing both financial and non-financial support.
