Investment thesis
The Club is an angel-style investment club of experienced entrepreneurs and businesspeople who invest individually on a deal-by-deal basis rather than through a pooled fund. It aims to fill the gap in Bristol's private equity market between early-stage angel networks/university incubators and VC funds that require £5M+ enterprise values. It targets local businesses that need capital to grow and compete at national scale, running 3-4 panel events per year and aiming to invest in 3-4 deals annually, raising around £1M per year. It works with universities, incubators, angel networks and VC funds, and may co-invest or facilitate exits.
