With over 15 years of experience as a financial executive, Barnes has served as a financial auditor, CFO, Managing Director, and board member across international companies of varying sizes and industries. Barnes has knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB), IFRS accounting and tax standards, and areas including forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and mergers and acquisitions, and entered the medical aesthetics industry as an investment partner in 2016.

Before joining AEA, he worked as an investment banking associate in the Technology, Media, and Telecom group at Goldman Sachs. He holds a B.A. in math and economics from Dartmouth College.
