Investment thesis
Birchal operates Australia's equity crowdfunding (crowd-sourced funding) platform, built on the premise that everyone should be able to invest in the companies they love. It connects retail investors with Australian companies — predominantly consumer brands across food and beverage, beauty, and consumer goods — that are raising capital through CSF offers. Companies apply to raise, run expression-of-interest and public offer campaigns on the platform, and investors follow brands to receive updates and participate in funding rounds. Through its licensed subsidiary Birchal Financial Services, which holds an ASIC authorisation as a CSF intermediary, Birchal facilitates these regulated offers for a broad base of individual investors.
