Investment thesis
Through the Belize Enterprise Empowerment Project (BEEP), BELTRAIDE supports 95 Belizean micro, small, and medium enterprises with financial resources and business leadership training. The Startup track targets 100% Belizean-owned businesses operating under three years that show innovation, use of technology, potential to scale, and environmental and social sustainability. Selected startups receive a non-reimbursable BZD $5,000 grant plus customized capacity building and business advising. Funding can support working capital, assets, prototypes and MVPs, marketing, and infrastructure, but not pre-approval expenses, debts, taxes, salaries, or personal costs. Priority sectors include agriculture, tourism, renewable energy, BPO/IT, light manufacturing, professional services, and creative industries.
