Investment thesis
The Belize Enterprise Empowerment Program (BEEP) supports micro, small, and medium enterprises in Belize by combining non-dilutive grants with capacity building and business advising. Its startup track targets businesses operating for less than three years that are 100% Belizean owned, innovative, and able to scale, with a focus on the blue, green, and orange economy. Funding can support working capital, assets, prototypes, marketing, and infrastructure, but not pre-approval expenses, debts, taxes, salaries, or personal costs. The program aims to help startups compete domestically, regionally, and internationally while addressing economic challenges from inflation and global disruptions.
