Investment thesis
Through its 'Panamá Innova 2025' public call, SENACYT provides non-reimbursable grants to science- and technology-based ventures to support Panama's economic development. It funds two categories: Seed Capital (up to B/.60,000 for early-stage innovative projects over up to 18 months) and Innovation & Entrepreneurship (up to B/.150,000 for process, service or product innovation over up to 24 months). Eligible applicants include universities, research centers, public interest associations, MSMEs, nonprofit foundations and large companies. Priority thematic areas span agroindustry and biotechnology, health, advanced technologies and digitalization, energy and sustainable environment, engineering, logistics and mobility, tourism and creative economy, and education and social inclusion.
