Investment thesis
Through its 'Panamá Innova 2025' public call, SENACYT provides non-reimbursable grants to science- and technology-based ventures to strengthen Panama's innovation ecosystem, promoting sustainability, competitiveness and quality employment. It offers a Seed Capital category funding early-stage projects (business plan validation, prototyping through model consolidation and scaling) up to B/.60,000 over 18 months, and an Entrepreneurship & Innovation category granting up to B/.150,000 over 24 months for high-impact process, service or product innovations. Priority areas include agroindustry and biotech, health, advanced technologies and digitalization, energy and environment, engineering and industrial development, logistics and mobility, tourism and creative economy, and education and social inclusion.
