Investment thesis
ACV believes climate action is reshaping the global economy and that Africa is well-positioned to capitalize on climate-related opportunities thanks to abundant affordable land, renewable energy potential, a growing skilled workforce, and access to carbon revenue markets. The firm targets three models: transferring proven climate technologies into Africa, scaling out home-grown African climate-tech businesses into new markets, and adding carbon revenue streams to existing businesses with untapped carbon potential. ACV takes a hands-on approach, sometimes originating concepts and recruiting founders, and iterating alongside management while injecting capital as milestones are met.
