Vocadian is a Harvard- and MIT-founded venture developing voice-first "human state intelligence" for high-stakes operations. Founding story

The company was founded by Yujie Wang and Adolphus Lau, who state they have co-founded health technology ventures together for more than ten years. Wang, the Founder and CEO, has a Harvard MDE and MIT HCI background as an SERC Scholar at the Schwarzman College of Computing, and has been a researcher at the MIT Media Lab, Harvard Medical School, and the Brigham and Women's Hospital Sleep Medicine Division, with prior industry experience at Philips Healthcare, Maersk, IKEA Home Smart and FaunaPhotonics. Lau, Co-Founder and COO, is an Impact Lab Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, holds an MS, MPH and JD, and previously worked at McKinsey. Vocadian describes its origin as addressing occupational fatigue with the goal of ensuring every worker gets home safely.
