Alumni Q&A

How did your company get started? (i.e., How did the founders meet? How did you come up with the idea? How did you decide to be a founder?)
The idea began in August 2025 when the founders wanted to express a single macro view across multiple digital markets, requiring legs in prediction markets, onchain venues, tokenized assets, and liquidity across venues. Doing this meant manually connecting separate venues, APIs, chains, and contracts, and the founders built Sequence to convert one market view into one trade.
What's the history of your company from getting started until the present day? What were the big inflection points?
The founders had assembled ad hoc terminal workflows to trade across markets but found no single system connecting all the markets they cared about, since existing products were limited to TradFi, crypto, prediction markets, or tokenized assets individually. They built Sequence Markets as the tool they wanted, unifying execution of one market view across fragmented digital markets.
What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?
The founders address the fragmentation of digital markets across exchanges, onchain venues, spot, perps, prediction markets, and tokenized assets, where placing one trade requires jumping between separate venues, using platforms lacking programmatic access, or relying on opaque dealer workflows. They started on it after hitting the problem directly, aiming to improve speed, access, and transparency in execution.
What is your long-term vision? If you truly succeed, what will be different about the world?
The founders envision users expressing a single market view that the system routes into the best executable path across crypto, prediction markets, and tokenized assets, without reasoning venue by venue, chain by chain, or contract by contract.
