Scout

Scout (scoutos.com) provides a platform for building and deploying AI agents that carry out rule-based operational processes inside a customer's existing systems. The stated premise is that many recurring workflows are already documented in written rules and supported by data held in company systems, but remain manual; Scout encodes those standard operating procedures and business rules as an agent's knowledge base so they are applied consistently, with a documented decision trail for each action.

The company describes five principal use cases: operational quality control and record review against fixed verification criteria; compliance and audit preparation, including checking every record rather than a sample and drafting responses to examiner questions; completion of vendor security questionnaires and RFPs using a customer's existing documentation and standards; high-volume document and data processing covering classification, extraction, routing and flagging; and policy or knowledge agents that give staff self-service access to procedures and records. In each case exceptions are routed to humans for review.

Agents are configured either from pre-built templates or from a natural-language description of the desired process, positioned as a no-code path that avoids engineering work. Governance features include agents acting under each individual user's own permissions so actions are attributable, execution traces, human approval on every decision at the outset with greater autonomy granted after accuracy is validated, and a full audit log.

Business model

Scout sells software combined with hands-on services: its team scopes the agent and use case, handles integrations, data access, permissions and configuration, validates operation in production before handover, and then monitors performance and updates agents as customer rules and tools change.
